I Watched Every Winter 2019 Anime - Rankings (50% Drop Rate)
2019.06.17 21:41 ErickCBassI Watched Every Winter 2019 Anime - Rankings (50% Drop Rate)
Tier 1: The few great, awesome shows every season Tier 2: The shows that are enjoyable and respectable Tier 3: Have some minimal amount of value but likely not worth watching Tier 4: These shows are bad, usually because the production company cares more about mass appeal/money as opposed to any kind of genuine quality These are done blind as I don’t pay attention to community discussion about the anime that comes out. This usually means that I am completely blindsided with criticism for putting a ‘consensus’ good show low on the rankings. Tier 1 1- Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen 2- Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan 3- Hulaing Babies 4- Ueno-san wa Bukiyou 5- Virtual-San Miteiru Tier 2 6- Dororo 7- Kemurikusa (TV) 8- 3D Kanojo: Real Girl 2nd Season 9- The Rising of the Shield Hero 10- Boogiepop and Others (2019) 11- Piano no Mori (TV) 2nd Season 12- Dimension High School 13- Kemono Friends 2 14- Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale 15- Manaria Friends Tier 3 16- Domestic na Kanojo (dropped after ep. 7) 17- The Promised Neverland (dropped after ep. 2) 18- Puso Ni Comi (dropped after ep. 3) 19- Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka (dropped 11 min. into ep. 2) 20- Endro~! 1- Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen (skilled-teaser Tagalog-San) – I think that the beginning episodes were much stronger than the later episodes, but I think it’s still clear that this show had the best writing of this season. That Chika character is very well written and very endearing, and the blue-haired council member just didn’t hold up in the same way for me. I also just think the ending wasn’t very satisfying for me. The cons of the show would be it getting repetitive by the end, and I would entertain ideas that say this show deserves to be ranked lower if you consider the totality of its episodes. 2- Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan – This show is structured unconventionally as it is a 4-minute short followed by an interview with the director of that specific episode. Each episode had a new director. I think this show had the best direction of all the anime this season, and it was clear that the directors were encouraged to be creative, arthouse, and maybe even a little unconventional. (Sexuality and nudity had a strong role in most of the shorts). I didn’t watch any of the director interviews to save time. 3- Hulaing Babies (YouTube) – This show is a lot of fun, but the time constraint definitely means a lot of the ‘necessary’ development gets left out. Like we aren’t really given a believable reason as to why the 4th and 5th members even want to join the hula group. But the aesthetic and style of the show is its strongest point. I am sure I am not the only one who found the blonde girl to be super fun and endearing. 4- Ueno-san wa Bukiyou (short) (skilled teaser Tagaki-San) – The main girl is just so well written and unique and I actually think her character interacts very well with the main boy. They’re just so much fun to watch together and I think it creates a unique dynamic. 5- Virtual-San Miteiru – I could actually see this show potentially being the best of this season. It’s structure and style is so unconventional it’s hard to rate. But there’s no doubt that it has top-tier aesthetic and very strong writing. This show is just so much fun, but it’s clear that a lot of time has been put into making sure it’s very well written and very well directed. I don’t know how much of it was improvisatory or quasi-improvisatory, but those were some of the most enjoyable scenes.
6- Dororo (puppet samurai) – I obviously don’t have to fight hard for this show. Everyone likes it. I guess I probably like it the least, but obviously I still like it enough for it to be the top of Tier 2. The old man is super cool. The episodic emotional and dramatic stories are cool. I just think the plot points and explanations for why things occur can be a little silly. We find out later that Hyakkimaru ends up becoming more attached to Dororo, but very early on, there’s really no reason for Hyakkimaru to keep putting up with this little kid. It’s purely contrived as to why these two end up sticking together at the beginning. Much of the gestures of ‘dramatic, emotional’ stories are there though, but I just felt it hard at times to keep up my suspension of disbelief. 7- Kemurikusa (TV) (the real Kemono friends 2) – This is basically the spiritual successor of Kemono Friends. It has the same animation style and similar aesthetics in writing as Kemono Friends. I don’t think it matches up to the quality of Kemono Friends season 1, but I still think it’s a very endearing and fun show. 8- 3D Kanojo: Real Girl 2nd Season – This show is mostly about my personal aesthetics, so I can understand why nobody else would have ranked it so highly. I guess I’m just a sucker for these standard romance shows. I still think some of the plot was pretty decently written and realistic. It was plenty heartwarming at times. 9- The Rising of the Shield Hero – This is just such a weird show. It’s very clear that the studio is trying very hard to create an actually decent show that isn’t just an isekai harem. Naofumi never sexualizes his party members, and he’s not that OP. So much of it seems to still be shallow though. Very basic plot twists with people faking being evil. New girls join up and still mysteriously fall in love with Naofumi for no reason. It’s still very clear that this show is trying and I’m enjoying it though. I just wish Nate and Digi were still reviewing season 2. 10- Boogiepop and Others (2019) – This show is pretty hard for me to understand. :P It’s complicated, but obviously I can’t really skip a ‘serious’ show like this. It had the best OP of the season, and that boogiepop girl is just so darn cool. But it is a fact that this show isn’t very fun to watch, and I am often just bored getting through all the exposition. Maybe it is too smart for me. 11- Piano no Mori (TV) 2nd Season – Everyone knows this show has a lot of heart. I think there are plenty of weaknesses regardless. It was getting kind of boring trying to keep track of all the pianists and all the reasons as to why we should specifically care about their lives. Lol why is this show good again? I’m drawing a blank. I remember it was cool to see all the cool settings and interactions with the mother. I guess it was actually pretty emotional too. 12- Dimension High School (live action) – I’m probably the only one who stuck around for this show. I genuinely think this show actually has some highlights in terms of it’s writing. There’s some pretty clever things that are done. The mysteries sometimes unfold in pretty clever ways actually. Obviously it’s pretty cheap that so much of the show was in this same CG classroom. But I still want to emphasize that the grander riddle mysteries of the show could actually be a little clever and I actually liked the characters by the end. 13- Kemono Friends 2 – I was almost going to drop this show after episode 2. I saw how much it paled in comparison to the original and I just didn’t want to be a part of it. I’m glad I continued, though, as it still has some merit. There’s no doubt that this show is just so damn adorable and cute. Do you guys remember the part when the two cat girls were trying to figure out how to sit on the massage chair? It’s so cool to see important people from season 1 show up again. It actually got pretty emotional and dramatic by the end. The show is about half as good as the first season. The first season just got so many of the details perfectly right. Even the OP is better. But I have to admit I was totally banging my head when the original OP came in. I have listened to that song so many times and I could never find a full version of it, but HERE it is in the second season. 14- Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale (mermaids) – This show is for little girls so I could understand why none of you watched it. But this show actually has some pretty creative sound design and that’s actually what pushed me to watch past episode 1. There was a cool orchestral music track playing at the climax of episode 1, and I was hooked at that point. The characters themselves aren’t very deep or complex, but I still think the plot and their interactions were endearing enough for me to keep watching. 15- Manaria Friends (dragon girls) – I maybe should have dropped this show. Some of it was pretty cool. A lot of the music was cool. The characters, interactions, and plot wasn’t innovative at all. But I think I still appreciated their earnest attempt at heavy drama. I guess it just wasn’t offensive enough for me to drop.
16- Domestic na Kanojo (scum’s wish) (dropped after ep. 7) – I thought this show was going to be cool and dark and dramatic. Like scum’s wish. But it was lame. The main character has no personality and the fan service is just so silly and contrived. The two main girls’ sexual acts are completely random and seem to have nothing to do with their personality. It was really the blue-haired girl who had me hooked at the beginning. She was genuinely not going to be interested in the guy at all, but then when even she started coming onto him, I guess I had no hope left. 17- The Promised Neverland (darling in the franc) (dropped after ep. 2) - Look. I’m so sorry. I am just SOOOOO sorry. I have to say it, though. You guys are being fooled. I tried. I gave it another episode. You guys don’t believe me so let’s talk about specific issues. (neverland) 1) This is NOT good writing. “Oh no! Monsters. Quick. Hide under the car! Uh oh. I think they sense us! I hope they don’t look under the car!....... uh oh. THEYRE LOOKING UNDER THE CAR. THEYRE GONNA FIND US…………… uhh noope! We got out at the very last second offscreen. Butttt we left evidence behind!.” (neverland) 2) So much of this is contrived if you just stop to deconstruct the pacing and structure of each scene. There’s so much DANG exposition when it goes completely against the personalities (specifically the girl’s). I have no problem with one or both of the guys over intellectualizing and rationalizing the whole situation, but it’s made clear that the girl is simply incapable of emotionally handling the weight of this situation. One second she’s smiling and easily duping Mom, and even dropping threatening and subtle threats about her knowledge of Connie’s whereabouts, the very next second she’s freaking out and can’t breathe or even fathom what she just went through. One second she’s freaking out, the next she’s having a calm analytical discussion (exposition dump) about the logistics of the monsters and escaping the farm with the guy. If some or ALL of them are just good actors and know how to be hard as nails in order to fool mom, then OKAY. But it’s not possible for any human to have a mastermind dialogue where you are emotionally and socially manipulating Mom, yet you are gasping for air the very next second because you ‘pulled it off by sheer luck’. Are they lucky or skilled? (The answer is that it’s both depending on what drama points need to be hit and how the plot needs to progress). (neverland) 3) Look, it just doesn’t make sense. Let’s be real. This show is faking it. I’m not getting any cool drama (because the plot points and threats are cliché and contrived) and I’m not getting any cool suspense mystery (because the details don’t matter and conclusions are not based on cool, hidden hints). The conclusions they come to are random. Why do they think they have tracking devices, but are certain Mom has no way to check location HISTORY. Why are they going beyond the gate again, when they know Mom is suspicious and is likely to be checking their location constantly. Why are they concluding that they have advanced location tracking devices, yet don’t even have small cameras or motion sensors. (neverland) 4) A comment last time told me that this show would get better, because it focuses less on the ‘horror’ of the monsters, and more on a technical mindgame with mom. It’s not like I’m natively impressed by a ‘mindgame’, but it’s very evident that it ISNT cool or done well here in the 2nd episode. The only thing that drew me to this anime (and that prevented me dropping it ep. 1) was the COOL personality/relationship interactions between the main three! It seems like there’s not going to be much of that as they are all equally good social manipulators and intelligent whenever the story needs them to be. The two guys aren’t L and Light, they are really smart guy and smart guy with some heart and then ALL heart. Not enough subtlety in the matter, look at Death Note if you want to know how to write cool, intelligent characters. 18- Puso Ni Comi (youtube) (dropped after ep. 3) – Yeah, the show is just basically generic and clichéd. Not much to say. But I suppose there was something about the first episode that made me want to keep watching. 19- Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka (dropped 11 min. into ep. 2) - This is one of those shows that if you honestly enjoy, I can still have some respect for you for the most part. I say this because it’s not really shamelessly bad. It’s trying a little bit. Anyways, it’s just that all the heroes, protagonists, villains, and plot details seem a little cliché and generic. It’s hard for me to find something interesting about this show. Maybe that main girl Magical Girl Rapture could be cool, but she has just as many scenes where she’s just acting like a stereotypical dark hero. Saving everybody no matter what, and unequivocally good. She’s not all that dark or ambiguous. 20- Endro~! (MMO fantasy) (dropped 11min. Into ep. 1) - boring characters and poor writing. I’m not sure there’s anything of interest here. Could be wrong though. Does it improve in quality later on? I was just really bored and nothing special was happening. 21- Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai (dogfighters) (dropped 16 min. Into ep. 1) - I was just sooo bored. I couldn’t even pay attention. If this show is secretly good, then this is genuinely on me, because I just wasn’t paying much attention. This is the last show I watched and I just wanted to get this review out. 22- Girly Air Force (dropped 13 min. into ep. 2) - I’m not sure what was keeping me through the 1st episode. I guess because the personality of the protagonist seemed to be a lot more driven. In this episode it’s apparent he has no personality. I think I also liked the relationship between the protagonist and his sister, but that’s not very evident here. And the girl that gets introduced is kind of shallow and stupid. Too much fanservice. 23- Meiji Tokyo Renka (time travel girl) (dropped 7 min. into ep. 2) - Alright.. couldn’t do it. I had a suspicious this was just a simple reverse harem show. I was tricked by some of the cool characters INTIALLY, but then it all fell apart as soon as everyone was introduced. There’s just way too many guys. You can’t possibly expect to develop them all! Even the girl is just a typical cliché. Shy, timid, embarrassed, has no self confidence. And she changes personality. I was hoping she’d be the cute girl next door type, but she’s just a cliché. None of these guys are interesting. 24- Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! (Lolli Hentai) (dropped 9 min. into ep. 2) - *sigh*. What I really liked about the 1st episode is the MAIN PROTAGONIST WOMAN. It’s likely just my anime naivete, but she seemed to be an archetype I was not used to seeing, especially in a woman. So the DRAW of that character was what let me through the 1st episode. But then in this episode, it turns out she’s pretty shallow (as shallow as all the little girls). Her entire personality consists of being embarrassed about her hobby/obsessed over the cosplay. I’m just not finding her very interesting anymore.
25- W'z (hand shakers) (dropped 11 min. into ep. 1) - This one seems to be as bad as the original hand shakers. Just really boring and generic. 26- Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. (Cat roommate) (dropped after ep. 1) - I could potentially see this show being ranked a little higher. Maybe even put into Tier 3. MAYBE it’s a little cute and a little funny. But mostly it just doesn’t impress. Not high quality. 27- Mini Toji (dropped after ep. 1) - It seems like this is based on the Toji no Miko show a few seasons back. But I dropped that show halfway though the 2nd episode (a contentious decision from the community). Anyways, this show taken on its own doesn’t seem to have any merit. I guess they both just suck. 28- Revisions (CG persona 5) (dropped 13 min. Into ep. 1) - Boring characters and boring writing. Nothing unique happened. The main character is annoying. 29- Grimms Notes The Animation (red riding hood) (dropped 11min. into ep. 1) - I could see this show being rated maybe a LITTLE higher. Is it a different story every episode? It’s possible the other stories might be better, but I doubt it. The problem is that the characters are really cliché and the dialogue is really cliché. Just nothing special about it. Has some generic cute little girl, and she says the most generic cute little girl crap. You can tell that this is a show that has nothing going for it besides having the one gimmick of being this dramatic realization of a folk tale. 30- Gotoubun no Hanayome (bad harem anime) (dropped 9 min. Into ep. 1) - I was actually ALMOST pulled into this show. The main character seemed like he was going to be this cool, dark, smart guy, but then all of a sudden he started having NO personality at all. He went all A-1 protagonist and his personality was just random scene to scene. Even worse for the one girl he was chasing! And all the girls that came up to him were just so generic and cliché! The odd and confusing dialogue was almost convincing me to say “woah, there’s something odd going on with this dialogue, maybe I should stick around.” But then I realized it was just bad, weird dialogue, instead of being interesting, unconventional dialogue. 31- Circlet Princess (dropped 13 min. Into ep. 1) - pretty boring show. Cliché writing and characters. 32- Pastel Memories (restaurant girl) (dropped 7 min. into ep. 1) - really bad. Boring and generic. Nothing special. Cliche characters. 33- The Price of Smiles (dropped after ep. 1) - EWWWWWWWWWww. Godddd grosss. Yuckkk. It’s so bad and it’s grossing me out. Dang it, guys! – In my initial review of this show, I dropped it after 3 minutes. People complained that I wasn’t giving it a fair shot, or that it’s better than what I think…. Thanks, guys. For making me sit through such a terrible show. I WAS going to watch TWO entire episodes, but there’s no way I’m sitting through more of this garbage. So what did we learn: that the first 3 minutes of this show accurately represents the garbage that is to come 34- Papa datte, Shitai (dropped 3 min. into ep. 1) - Let’s just say that the only place I could find this on was hentaistream.com… ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a link to my rankings based on just watching the first episode.https://www.reddit.com/anime/comments/alkhq8/i_watched_the_first_episode_of_every_winter_2019/ I'm aware of the controversy behind 1st episode opinions and drops that occur after only the 1st episode or less. Let's have a calm and productive discussion.

1- Aggressive Retsuko - This show and Lupin III were a cut above. This show gets the #1 spot for just being so tightly written. Good writing is the main thing here. 2- Lupin III: Part 5 - Really fun. Really dynamic. Great characters. Good tone. Proper aesthetic. Interesting stories. Lupin III is interesting, right? He's a proper jack of all trades superheroes who still manages to be likeable. 3- Gurazeni - If you say that this show shouldn't be so high I would totally believe you. It probably shouldn't be up so high, but this show is the most fun I've had all season. The scenarios and personalities are just a blast. 4- Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc - Quality. Well written and thought out. It's just very slow paced at times. It takes forever for that main drama behind the scenes to unfold. It's always referenced but it never really progresses. It's just at the last second that the bad guys decide to make a move. Such a sweet and funny show that I can definitely appreciate, though. 5- Wakaokami wa Shougakusei! - Here's one that should bring up some contention. The main thing here is that it's just simply well written. It's a show about the world of a little kid and it really comitts to that. The part where she throws leaves into the bath and fantasizes how much she'd be idolized for it is very relatable. And it is, of course, very relatable to all when the adults come in and don't appreciate it like she thought they would. It's very genuine in that way.
6- Piano no Mori - This one could definitely go lower. I feel like it has some high highs, but some big lulls as well. There's so many characters by the end they are starting to blend together. They start to not mean as much individually. How the mother handled is just so great, ya know? It gives her respect and proper character despite how people with her occupation are usually handled. 7- Cutie Honey Universe - Either the best show ever or stupid from the start. It just brought so much passion and matched some of my aesthetic. The problem is that it's just not paced very well. Stuff just happens instead of just progressing. The last episode could have just happened on Day 1 almost. mid-season climax 8- Crossing Time - I rated this show very low at first, but I think that was just a mistake. Written well and is funny. 9- Megalo Box - This show had so much potential. It was obviously trying really hard to be a top drama that's well written and properly emotional. So it threw in a bunch of the appropriate dramatic gestures. Unfortunately a lot of the moments were just contrived. mid-season spoilers 10- To Be Heroine - I think the showing of this anime was messed up on my streaming site of choice. I only got to watch 6 episodes.... Good. Dramatic. 11- Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan - Worked hard and was a good show. I think a lot of the flaws revolve around there not really being much impact or meaning in any interaction, because stuff would always make way for the plot no matter what. Like who the freak cares if the masotan actually likes whichever girl. He will swallow WHOEVER at any time if it means the plot gets moving. finale spoilers 12- Gegege no Kitarou - Maybe you guys won't like how high I placed this show. It's just a show with solid writing. It attempts some character development each episode. It's funny as well. 13- Captain Tsubasa - This one was ranked higher at first. I dropped it down for repetitiveness and slow pace. It's just a sweet show that's written well. 14- Hinamatsuri - Very funny and very well written. 15- 3D Kanojo: Real Girl - Can you believe I had this one down in Tier 3 after watching the 1st episode? This show is just very close to my personal aesthetics so I'm ranking it higher for that. It's similar to Sakurada Reset in that way. The characters are so real and the interactions are just so genuine. 16- Major 2nd - I've dropped this show down from when I just watched the first episode. I like the characters I am just not entirely sure of the logical consistency. I think it's a little weird that the coach just lets the one kid act like a jerk. And a LOT of contrived stuff had to happen for the two to actually do that first game as a battery duo. 17- Tada Never Falls in Love - Very sweet show that I enjoyed. Characters could have more depth, but the characters ARE very fun. 18- Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii - Funny show. 19- Hakyuu Houshin Engi - I got a lot of hate last season for having this show up so high. I'm not so concerned this season, because I'm assuming none of you got this far. Just crazy stuff happening with super intense interactions. I like it. Honestly made me tear up. 20- Persona 5 the Animation - Show's a little slow paced at times. Pacing is off at times. But obviously it's doing some intense dramatic and visual stuff so I like it for that reason. 21- Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori - Decent writing actually. I had this in Tier 3 based on the 1st episode. I thought it wasn't going to have deep enough characters. The characters aren't so deep, but some of the writing was actually pretty well done. The ending episode sequence with the estranged brother was pretty nuanced and awesome to watch. 22- Lost Song - Pretty good. Not really any interesting characters or writing so it dropped a little. 23- Devils Line - Dropped a lot. I thought it'd be dark and well-written. But it was only dark. Wasn't really the most interesting even if it hit on some super cool themes. 24- Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja - I really enjoyed this one. I thought all the stories were interesting and unique. It was just a little boring by the end. All the characters have such similar personalities and value sets. 25- Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis - Cool show but cliche. 26- Darling in the FranXX - This show is barely a respectable show. It's more entertaining than respectable. I keep hearing about how the ending ruined the show, but the ending didn't change anything for me. But I suppose it made all the problems unmistakably obvious. 27- Golden Kamuy - Pretty cool show. I didn't think it was logically coherent enough to warrant a higher ranking. Of COURSE the guy who gets his fingers bit off gets immeidately killed. It's just all pretty convenient isn't it. 28- Space Battleship Tiramisu - Pretty funny show. 29- IDOLiSH7 - The characters don't get any development, but some of them are actually pretty sweet and fun to watch. I enjoyed watching this show, but I know it's not really a game changer.
30- Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (dropped after episode 2) - I was enjoying this show, because it seemed pretty fun. But then I realized that the characters and the writing are not anything special. 31- Dorei-ku The Animation (dropped after episode 7) - I watched a ton of this show, because I was fooled into thinking it had some decent writing! There were plenty of red flags early on thinking back to it. Terrible writing and terrible characters. 32- Magical Girl Ore (dropped after ep. 4) - I actually thought it was pretty funny at first. But then it just going and uncreative. 33- Dances with the Dragons (dropped after episode 3) - Just not enough creativity, good writing, or good characters. 34- Caligula (dropped after episode 3) - Thought it was going to be an interesting psychological horror type thing. But nah, completely uninspired. 35- Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari (dropped 10 min. into ep. 3) - boring and uninteresting. 36- Kiratto Pri☆chan (dropped 17 min into ep. 2) - This show was made as a cliche. 37- Comic Girls (dropped after episode 2) - Characters are shallow and boring. 38- Juushinki Pandora (dropped 10 min into ep. 5) - Was actually really grooving with this show for a while. But the writing just couldn't hold up I suppose. It just didn't have that DEPTH. 39- Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS (dropped after ep. 2) - boring card game with boring characters. 40- Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari (dropped 14 min into ep. 2) - Thank you! Thank you so much for convincing me to watch the second episode and convincing me this was a parody show so it doesn't matter that it's cliche! Now it's a sucky parody instead of a sucky regular show! 41- Shiyan Pin Jiating (dropped 12 minutes into ep. 13) - I was actually really grooving with this show for a bit there. I thought there were a lot of sweet moments and some cool artistic scenes. But alas, as always, writing and characters don't hold up. 42- Tokyo Ghoul:re (dropped after ep. 2) - Show was cliche and uninspired. But I assume the other entries in the Tokyo Ghoul scene are better, right? 43- Nil Admirari no Tenbin (dropped 12 min into ep. 2) - not good enough 44- Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi (dropped after episode 3) - This show almost had me. The protagonist is sweet and pretty, but her relationship with the main horned guy is sooo cliche and pandering. 45- Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (dropped after episode 2) - This show had me interested for a while. But I suppose it just didn't end up being interesting enough. 46- Mahou Shoujo Site (dropped after episode 3) - This show had me super hooked at the beginning. This was ranked much higher. But then I realized that none of the mysteries were very interesting resolved. POOR characters. POOR writing. 47- Aikatsu Friends! (dropped 14min into ep. 2) - No Good. 48- Gundam Build Divers (dropped after ep. 1) - The 0th episode is so good! The '1st' episode is so bad!
49- Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin (dropped 11min into episode 2) - Go watch Captain Tsubasa instead. A kid's soccer show done well. 50- Akkun to Kanojo (dropped after episode 2) - There's nothing there beyond the main gimmick 51- Cardfight!! Vanguard (dropped after 10 min) - almost has as little depth as yu gi oh. 52- Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai (dropped after ep. 5) - lol I kept watching cuz I thought it might be reasonably funny. but nahhh, it's just not written well. 53- SAO Alternative Gun Gale Online (dropped after 15 min) - hey, don't get me wrong here. I am not biased. I LOVE the SAO franchise. I was really excited about this one. But it ended up being pretty boring and stale. I guess without the ridiculousness of the main characters, it loses that spark. 54- Beyblade Burst Chouzetsu (dropped after 11 min) - Go watch Captain Tsubasa if you want proof that children's anime can be done really well. 55- Love to Lie Angle (dropped after ep. 1) - not enough depth 56- Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu Happy Kiss! (dropped after 7 min) - not enough depth in the characters. not enough interesting writing. 57- Alice or Alice: Siscon Niisan to Futago no Imouto (dropped after ep. 1) - I don't remember. but definitely not good. 58- Amai Choubatsu: Watashi wa Kanshu Senyou Pet (dropped after ep.12) - there's one every season. Here's my rankings from just watching the first episodehttps://www.reddit.com/anime/comments/8pda8j/i_watched_the_first_episode_of_every_spring_2018/ Let's have a calm and productive discussion
